Quadrum Capital continues to invest in its portfolio with acquisition in digital marketing domain

Investment company Quadrum Capital is strengthening its portfolio with the acquisition of Blauw Gras by Born05 Group, a digital agency and participation of Quadrum Capital since September 2019. The acquisition of Blauw Gras, a social content agency, marks the start of building a leading agency offering a fully integrated range of digital marketing and communication services. The acquisition of Blauw Gras brings the number of employees in the group to 125 across offices in Utrecht and Amsterdam.

Peter Oostenenk, managing partner at Quadrum Capital: ‘Today’s times underline more than ever how important it is for a company or brand to communicate by digital means, so that it stays closely connected to customers. We believe in the vision of Born05 Group for this digital domain, in which specialists work closely together in the area of marketing, PR, media, digital, technology and data to serve customers. The acquisition of Blauw Gras marks the first step in rolling out this vision. We will also be actively supporting Born05 Group during the coming weeks and months to examine new opportunities for expansion to further strengthen the proposition.’

Rogier IJzermans, CEO of Born05 Group: ‘Discussions with Blauw Gras got underway last year, and we are now finalizing things at a time when the market is being severely affected by the impact of Covid-19. This has not altered our decision. In fact, we see that the current situation has made the demand for integrated solutions even more urgent and relevant. Regardless of whether the coronavirus crisis will delay or accelerate our growth plans, our course remains unchanged. With our expansion in the area of PR, media, advertising, technology, data and performance, we are continuing to work towards a fully integrated range of services, supported by our investors.’

Erik Wiese, co-founder of Blauw Gras: ‘Pooling our resources within the Born05 Group meets the needs of our customers and our personnel. Marketing, media, digital, technology and data are inextricably intertwined in the business of the future. In choosing the Born05 Group, DNA, quality and enterprise are our key focus areas. Within the group, our specialist and creative work will have the scope to excel even further. As entrepreneurs, we can’t wait to work together to build this agency of the future.’
