Lolkema B.V. from Oudeschoot has been acquired by Roelofs Groep, Conseiller assisted Roelofs Groep as advisor

The Frisian family business, consisting of a contracting company and a transport company, became the property of Roelofs Groep on Tuesday 19 November 2024 by way of signing at the notary’s office by Hotze-Jan Lolkema (general manager and owner Lolkema B.V.) and Gerard Hoiting (general manager Roelofs Groep).

Hotze-Jan Lolkema has worked at the similarly named company on the edge of Heerenveen for nearly 40 years, of which the last 22 as general manager and owner. The company was founded and managed by Jan Lolkema in 1985 and fully taken over by Hotze-Jan Lolkema in 2002. “As there was no interest form the family to take over the company, we searched for a suitable takeover candidate, fitting the current organization and culture. We have been closely associated with Roelofs all these years through sand extraction in Oudeschoot, Roelofs as owner and Lolkema as operator. This takeover therefore also feels like a logical step, which will contribute to a good future for all involved.”

Gerard Hoiting, managing direct of Roelofs Groep: “Both Lolkema and Roelofs Groep are family businesses and have been closely linked for forty years. We are both active in Frisian infrastructure work and Roelofs is a regular partner at several Northern players in the private market, such as at the Chemiepark Delfzijl. With this step, together with Lolkema, we can serve our customers even better and enter new markets that fit our strategic course. Together with Lolkema, we want to strengthen our position in the sand market and boost circular soil flows in the Northern Netherlands, further facilitating storage and re-use of materials in projects.”
